The family have been faithful, active members of the Church of Christ for 55 years and Cullum is always the first to give the Lord credit for his success. Over the years, the couple has bravely faced a number of health issues, including a cancer battle which Linda bravely fought and overcame. In 2004, Cullum was suddenly stricken completely blind and was told by doctors it would be permanent. Not willing to give up, the Cullums asked for their prayers worldwide. They had a tremendous outpouring from all over the U.S., Brazil, Iraq and many other places. Miraculously, his eyesight is gradually coming back and he is able to drive some and even read. It is getting better every day. He will be the first to tell you that, even though he had the best doctors in the country, the credit for his miraculous recovery could only come from a Higher Power. His strong faith is always present and he truly believes because he has been so blessed, he has an obligation to share these blessings with those in need—which he has gracefully done his entire life. PROFESSIONAL • Assistant County Agent in Mississippi County (1960-61) • Assistant County Agent in Cross County (1961-63) • Manager, a farm supply store and bulk fertilizer plant in Hickory Ridge (1963-67) • Assistant Manager for Lee Wilson and Company, Seed and Chemical Division in Wilson, AR (1967-74) • Owner, Cullum’s Flying Service, Inc., operated 1974-80 • Owner, Cullum Seeds, Inc., Fisher (purchased 1977) & Waldenburg (1990) Sherman and Linda Cullum often became spokespeople for agriculture and the farmers of Northeast Arkansas. They hosted many events to educate folks about the challenges of modern farming.
